Whenever I perform on stage, one thing that dawns upon me is that a dramatic action is not merely confined to the stage. Drama can enhance and develop various aspects of intelligence, especially one's ability to "read others and see things from their point of view."
NEEV uses its expertise in theatre in the lives of people- students and professionals, using drama-based methods as an alternative learning tool. We call this Life through Theatre™.
Drama makes "thinking-managers" who in real life need to manage men and not machines; need top deal with souls not mere hardware; need to deal with emotions and not robots. In short, they need to deal with changing scenarios- economic, political, social, demographic. Through theatre or drama, we teach actors how to change, modulate, behave, react with changing times.
Management subjects like Organisational Behaviour, Business Communication, Project Planning, Marketing, Principles of Management, HR- can be more fun if taught using theatre methods, where students can work hands-on live productions applying the principles they have learn in theory. Theatre provides a practical platform to the students to implement their learning.
