NEEV is a Kolkata-based, theatre- company.
NEEV's first commercial venture was, PARTY (also a film by Govind Nihalani) in 2007, which ran into several full houses in Kolkata. NEEV was invited by the North American Banga Conference in 2007 to perform in Detroit.
In 2008, NEEV took PARTY to the UK under the invitation of the Indian High Commission of the UK to perform at Nehru Centre in London. PARTY toured all over the UK and performed at prestigious venues- The Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, Lakeside Arts Centre in Nottingham, The Lowry Manchester, Harrow Arts Centre- Middlesex, and in Watermans London.
In January 2011, premiered NEEV's English satire, Can't Pay! Won't Pay! an adaptation of Nobel Laureate, Dario Fo's "We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay". The play was shown across all the major city clubs in Kolkata and plans to tour the western & southern cities of India.
In 2012, NEEV staged three musicals – A Mid Summer Nights' Dream, A Christmas Carol that were staged in Kala Mandir and Holi Hai staged in Vidya Mandir- with school children. These plays were directed by Udita Chakraborty
NEEV has always had the philosophy of working well known names in the industry, like Ashoke Viswanathan, Renu Roy, Pradip Kumar, Dhruv Mukerji, to name a few. NEEV also believes in providing a platform to aspiring, talented individuals with a fire to express themselves.
